Although the 77-year-old has a good swing for his age, just how Trump was able to win the tournaments is left to your imagination. That didn’t stop golf’s greatest champion Jack Nicklaus from showing up on Sunday at the winner’s celebration to toast the ex-president.
“There’s no record like this man has, for majors or anything,” Trump said while introducing Nicklaus. “It’s an honour to have you Jack, thank you so much.”
NIcklaus then addressed the Palm Beach crowd.
“Congratulations for all of you, I hope you keep enjoying the game,” Nicklaus said from a lectern with Trump at his side.
“OK, my friend,” Nicklaus added before giving Trump a brief hug.
Nicklaus publicly supported supported Trump in 2020 and posted a message on social media at the time urging others to vote for Trump.

Joe Biden wasn’t quite as complimentary. The U.S. President — or someone on his staff — trolled Trump’s victories, posting, “Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment.”
Of course, Trump couldn’t let that barb just slide, so he returned fire with a post apparently showing Biden duffing a golf shot into a stone wall.
Welcome to politics in 2024. On the bright side, they say the golf season is around the corner when 81-year-old and 77-year-old U.S. Presidents are talking smack on social media over each other’s game.
